Water contamination is an invasive source of impairment in developing minds during critical prenatal growth, within infants, preschool, and through preteen age children. In particular, Lead and pathogen contamination in drinking water is a major concern that presents major health risks that have been proven to have severe detrimental impacts and effects on a child’s brain development, and has been linked to ulcers, a variety of stomach cancers, kidney failure, and detrimental infectious diseases. Aside from the personal suffering and unfulfilled potential, the financial burden on government is vast to assist and support children with developmental and learning disabilities.
